We started Ferber last night for my almost 7 month old and the first time was HARD it took an hour of 5 minute interval check ins, my baby got over stimulated if I touched him so I’d just go in near the crib, tell him I love him and it’s okay and then I’d leave.

His first and ONLY wake that night it was a little easier, 15 minutes crying and check ins before eating, 15 minutes after and he was asleep the rest of the night.

Today we did one Ferber nap, he was asleep after 3 minutes of crying.

Bedtime tonight under 2 minutes of fussing he went to sleep by himself!!

I so wish I would’ve done this sooner. We’ve always fed to sleep knowing it wasn’t the best way but I couldn’t find anything else to relax him enough. The problem is this stopped working and led to 1-2 hours of scream crying at bedtime and every nighttime wake. I really hope this good trend continues but of course expect to hit bumps!
