My friends and I set out about 10 years ago to make a game on the Minecraft platform, the way we wanted to play.

We love the MMO genre, but also fell in love with Minecraft PvP in our early childhood so we decided to try and bring the two together.

This isn’t a mod that you can download, but it’s a plugin that runs without players needing to download a thing.

I just wanted to showcase what we have done to gauge community interest, as I know we are all starting to get a bit bored of the same old combat loop, the same old mini-games, and we want to see something unique brought back to Minecraft as a long running game where you can actually build progression in-game, all while keeping the sand box genre that Minecraft is.

I’ve attached a video to this post as a small example of our vision, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar ideas or have come across something like this before and if you have any extra ideas around this topic.

About 10 years ago, a few friends and I got together and started coding our own PvP/PvE System that brings traditional Minecraft PvP and the MMORPG genre together. We have written over 300,000 lines of code that introduces some really unique features that you don't see on any other server but ours. Our project is 100% community driven, with an open sourced plugin with over 20 contributors, a server build team, 23 staff members as well as a marketing team.

So what makes us so special?

I'll list a few of the key features here:

6 classes to choose from with customisable skill trees where you can swap and change your abilities (spells) for different combinations depending on how you want to play.
3 Dungeons you can grind, all with unique play loops (not just face tanking mobs) that drop loot which you can use to upgrade your gear & your class
3 World bosses that all players on the server can participate in
5 World Events that all players can participate in that give unique resources they can use
A Faction style plugin called clans that lets you team up with your buddies, build a base & enemy other clans where you can siege their base with actual cannons with projectile cannon balls
Item attunement that lets you add stats to your classes gear & reforge their stats to gain extra attributes, as well as runes that you can apply to your gear for a competitive edge
Multiple servers for our clans game-mode, 2 HUB servers, Multiple servers for our champions gamemode (minigame style version of our clans plugin).
A complete professions system with UI based skill trees where you can allocate different combinations of skill points to upgrade your profession the way you want to.
