Riding a Rocky Mountain Instinct BC Edition with a Fox 36 up front. Daughter is 13 months, 25lbs, not walking yet so she needs a harnessed seat.
I've been leaning toward the Shotgun Pro EVO since it's purpose-built for MTB and I know it clears suspension forks. But it's $550 CAD and that's a lot for one season before she outgrows the bucket seat insert.
The Yepp Nexxt 2 Mini is significantly cheaper and I've seen it on plenty of bikes with suspension forks. But I've also read that the footrests can hit the fork crown on burlier enduro setups. The Fox 36 has a pretty massive crown compared to an XC fork.
Has anyone run a Yepp on an enduro bike with a 36? Does the steering clearance actually become an issue or is it bike-specific enough that some setups are fine? And has anyone used the EVO on an Instinct BC specifically — any fitment issues with the headset stack?
Not interested in rear seats or trailers. Strictly front mount on-trail riding.
