Hey! I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I perfused some mice yesterday and found a weird black thing on one's brain. I'm not a histologist at all, and this mouse did no behavior, so I don't know if it was acting weird or anything.

After taking the brain out, I saw that one of the nerves was all black. I looked it up online and could only find about pigmented meninges, which, to me, are only found around the olfactory bulb, and you can usually see little dots, not a whole black structure.

I have pictures I can share in DMs if you want to see.

Did you guys ever see something similar? Can someone tell me if my mice had a disease or a tumor?
