I know we’re all buzzing for tonight, but I’ve been thinking about what MSL keeps saying and about our glorious by the book plan.

For a team this young, this is the kind of experience you just can’t buy. We’re ahead of schedule, we weren’t even supposed to be a wildcard team this year. Getting to Game 7 against a dynasty like the Lightning is already a win for the development of guys like Slaf and Suzuki.

If we win tonight (which the math says we should), it’s a statement to the entire league. If we lose, it’s a brutal lesson that makes us inevitable in 2027

let's keep our calm cause it’s house money at this point. Getting this far was the real win!

Go Habs Go! Enjoy the ride tonight, boys. <3

I was looking at the pattern for this series and it’s actually kind of hilarious how predictable we’ve been.

Game 1: Win (Odd)

Game 2: Loss (Even)

Game 3: Win (Odd)

Game 4: Loss (Even)

Game 5: Win (Odd)

Game 6: Loss (Even)

Game 7: ???

Tonight is May 3rd (an odd number) and it's Game 7 (an odd number). We are the only team in these playoffs that has stayed this perfectly on schedule

Also, we’ve been better on the road all year. We went 24-9-8 away from the Bell Centre in the regular season, and we’ve already taken two games in Tampa this series. Vasilevskiy looks shaky every time we push the pace in their barn.

We literally haven't lost an odd-numbered game in weeks. The script is written. We take Game 7, finish the "odd game" streak, and move on to the next round.

I’ve already got the day off tomorrow to celebrate. Relax we got this.

GHG! Let's finish this! 🔵⚪🔴

I know we’re all pretty stressed after Sundays loss, but honestly, this is the moment we’ve been waiting for since the rebuild started. We aren’t just some team that’s lucky to be in the playoffs anymore. Everything Hughes and Gorton have done over the last few years has led to this exact 2-2 split.

Look at the Dobson situation. If he comes back into the lineup now that Reinbacher is back in Laval, our top pair suddenly looks elite again. We traded for him specifically for his shot blocking and his ability to settle things down in the defensive zone. That’s the kind of veteran presence you need to win a Game 5 in a place like Tampa.

Sending Reinbacher down was a tough call, but it shows management actually believes this current roster is ready to win now. We have the depth to handle it.

If we can steal this win on the road, we get all the momentum for Game 6 back at the Bell Centre. We’ve seen what happens when this team gets a sniff of the finish line (look at Vegas in 2021). Tampa is tough, but we have the skill and the structure to pull this off.

We’ve done the work and made the right moves. Now we just have to go out there and take it.

Go Habs Go!
