1. Confused About My Career: Leaving NEET Prep for BBA + MBA?
I’m currently at a very confusing stage in life and would genuinely appreciate some advice from people who’ve been through something similar.
For the past few years, I’ve been preparing for NEET and trying to pursue the medical field seriously. I gave it a lot of effort, time, and energy, but somewhere along the way I started feeling disconnected from it. The pressure, repetition, and long journey ahead don’t feel right for me anymore, and mentally I feel exhausted trying to force myself to continue.
Recently, I’ve started exploring other career options, especially BBA + MBA. I feel much more interested in areas like business, marketing, branding, communication, media, content creation, networking, and entrepreneurship. I enjoy creative work, talking to people, building ideas, and learning practical skills more than memorizing theory for exams. I also dream of studying abroad someday and building an international career or even my own brand/business in the future.
At the same time, I’m scared about changing fields after investing so much time into NEET preparation. I keep wondering if I’m making the right decision or just running away from difficulty. I also come from a background where medicine is seen as a very stable and respected career, so switching paths feels risky and overwhelming.
I wanted honest opinions from people who are doing BBA/MBA or have changed career paths completely. Is BBA + MBA genuinely worth it in today’s time if someone is willing to work hard on skills, internships, networking, and communication? What specializations or colleges should I look into if I’m interested in business, media, and entrepreneurship?
I’d really appreciate honest guidance.
