POI (Premature Ovarian Insufficiency) - Early Menopause
Is there anyone you know in Maldives who has been diagnosed with this condition?
This is basically a condition where you have post menopause hormones levels. Meaning, very very low estrogen and AMH. And you have a lot of the same symptoms someone going through menopause would have. You also either have to go on the pill or start taking hormone replacement therapy until you reach your 50s since hormones play a huge role in your physical and mental health. Not to mention, the chance of ever getting pregnant also drops to 5%
Im in my mid 20s and was recently diagnosed with this horrible condition and its been really isolating because I know 0 other people who I can reach out to for advice and literally nobody I know can relate to it or understand how it feels.
