Weight Loss Stall?

I’m hoping to get some insight from people who’ve been on Ozempic longer than I have. I’m a type 2 diabetic and overweight, and my doctor started me on Ozempic in late October after switching me from another diabetes medication (not a GLP‑1). I’ve lost 18 lbs total and I’m currently in my second month of the 2 mg dose.

The issue is that I haven’t lost any weight in over a month — maybe closer to 45 days. The majority of my loss happened in the first two months. I’m wondering if the slower progress is because I’m diabetic and not taking it purely for weight loss. If that’s normal, I’m okay with it, but I’d love to hear from others in the same boat.

Some context:

- I’ve always injected in my thigh, but today I tried my stomach to see if absorption feels different.

- Appetite suppression was strong until I hit 2 mg. Now I barely notice it.

- I’ve had almost no side effects (just occasional constipation that I manage with a stool softener).

- I had a stroke a little over a year ago, so my mobility is limited and I can’t do cardio or anything that gets my heart rate up.

- I don’t follow a strict diet — I just try to eat smaller portions.

I have bloodwork and a doctor appointment in May. I’ve been thinking about switching to Mounjaro if insurance allows, since I’ve heard it can lead to better weight loss, but I’m nervous to switch since Ozempic has been easy on me.

If you’ve stalled this long, diabetic or not, what helped you get things moving again? Did switching meds make a difference?
