How accurate is the 1880s census for my third grade grandma Amanda (Mandy) parents' dad birth place in Africa?

How accurate is the 1880s census for my third grade grandma Amanda (Mandy) parents' dad birth place in Africa?

Hi, I have a screenshot of my 1880 census and I just want to know how accurate or reliable it is. This is my third great-grandma on my dad's side, and I was looking at birth places of her parents and what stood out to me is that her dad was born in Africa which I thought was really cool. I just want to know how accurate the 1880 is compared to the 1870 and 1900. I have her in the 1900 census as well and it says her father's birthplace is Virginia. I asked someone and they said the 1880 census is more accurate. I’m not sure what you guys think? To be honest, I think this is a really cool find to see Africa on there.

Common genetic groups, regions, and communities me and my paternal 2nd cousin share on 23andMe.

This is everything my second cousin and I share on 23andMe. They are a match on my dad's side and I know what line is coming from. It’s nice to know we share things in common on 23andMe. Even though my dad has not tested yet, it gives me something to work with and gives me an idea of what came from where. They are my second-highest match on 23 and Me. I’m not going to post their results for privacy reasons. I just thought I’d share what we have in common. We are both African-American. Thanks.

I love doing comparisons with my close DNA matches. They are a match on my paternal side, and looking at the African genetic groups, we share in common, gives me an idea of like which side of the family came from where for my research. Even though my dad has not tested , it gives me an idea which is helpful. I don’t know about you guys, but I love 23andme. Just thought I’d share again.

For privacy reasons I’m not going to post their results on here, but I will tell a short story about the African diaspora communities we share in common. This has been so helpful for me because we share great grandparents on my dad side and looking at the communities, it kind of helps confirm which side came from where. I’m glad they were able to collaborate with me to see how we are related. They are my second highest match on 23 and me. I love doing comparisons especially with close matches because it helps me with my research. Our great grandparents, one our great grandfather was born in Georgia, specifically Tattnall County, Georgia and his wife our great grandma was born in Alabama, specifically pike county, Alabama. I think 23 and me was spot on with the communities.
