I'm cycling a 55 gallon freshwater tank and noticed what appears to be some kind of fungus growing on the driftwood I added. The driftwood spent a good long while in the oven before being added to the tank. I've experienced some white mold growth/biofilm in the past but I've never seen anything like this. Even a Google lens search didn't find anything that I could say for sure was the same thing. I'm hoping someone smarter than me can identify it. Is it harmful for humans, animals or fish? The only thing in the tank at the moment are some plants and neocaridina shrimp that all seem to be thriving. Thanks in advance! 🫶🏻
