i have had my cat since i was 6, his name is seamus brown and he is going to turn 16 in october!

we had a kitten named sampson, who unfortunately was born with felv and asymptomatic. we didn’t know until seamus had already contracted it. sampson went missing august 7th, 2025 in monterey california. almost a year later, we are now in texas, still heartbroken.

unfortunately, seamus has small flare ups of constipation and lack of appetite, but after some special food he normally bounces back.
it has been 3 days without poop, and nothing more than a few bites of food. he is skin and bones. vet appointment is in a little under 2 hours- and i am terrified
i seriously do not know how to live without him, i know he is old and sick, and selfishly i cant stop mourning him even while he is still here purring at my feet. i am so scared. i dont know what i am posting this for, but the waiting in agony with him until the vet is eating away at me and my thoughts.
