The great finale: How the hell...

Here's the ending to my nightmare delivery. Didn't think it would work but amazed it did.

Got this 2006 115k wrecked element from Copart. Then Ukraine blew up my engine.

Won a wrecked 2006 element with 115k original miles at Copart in Portland Or for $850. Lucky me, so I thought. Just wanted the engine and trans, anything extra is extra. Cinco De Mayo comes delivery day. Then world war 3 happens. The transporter (Not Jason Statham) comes flying in a residential cul de sac like Ricky Bobby. A 24 year old Ukrainian male (war dodger) doesn't speak much English parks and begins to unload my Japanese beauty. He starts the car and proceeds to go down the ramp of his transport in an unparalleled path. I bang on the side of the door to alert him. It works, I point out the 2 inches he has remaining on this ramp. He says in a thick Ukraine accent "No good". I reply being proud of myself " Good thing I'm here". I think he thought I said full send because that's what he does. Now the wrecked in the front element is stuck on the ramp. While he's trying to see a way out of this, I go and turn off the engine. He begins to say "Don't touch" and restarts my coolant free engine. As he comes up with the most craziest plan to rescue my element from a 3 foot drop, I go and turn off the engine. Again he comes at me saying "Don't touch" So I step back and let MC Molotok do his job. By this time, I know I am not going to accept this load. Despite the crazy scheme he came up with, it works and my element is safely on the ground. I have pictures and videos that show how horrible this ship show really was. I go turn off the engine out of compassion and MC Molotok gives me a release form on his phone. I refuse. He says "You Must". I sign and under my signature I write UD for under duress. Later found that VC or SUD were more acceptable in the courts of law. I immediately call and start a ticket to resolve the issue of having a non cooling engine idle for 15 minutes without coolant. To my ears, I noticed a difference in the sound of the engine from beginning til the end. Still ran and started up but not confident that damage had not occurred.

After multiple calls and emails, the Copart Delivered department reached out to the transporter (not MC Molotok) and gave him the status of the delivery. He calls and I give him the evidence. He offers $100-200. I tell him $990 or $1800. I truly wanted the car but wanted a low mileage engine. So found a JDM for 900 plus tax of 90. He paid me 990 and I'm happy.

Here's all the pics and videos.

Enjoy
