My dc cable came off my li-ion while flying and having the battery in my pocket. Can I keep using this battery somehow or is there a way it could short with wires still being left behind.

I washed out during a flight and hears a hissing like sound that I thought came from the drone, but after inspecting everything I couldn’t find anything. After I finished flying the dc cable just fell out of my pocket. Could that sound have been the li-ion? There was no smell or heat.
