My Fiancé and I are eloping (self solemnizing) next month in Estes Park, CO (full ceremony with fam/friends in October).

We just want to exchange vows in private and enjoy a weekend in the mountains.

A lot of locations require a special permit and I’m not worried about getting caught at all but I am paranoid what location to put on the actual marriage license. I guess my question is will the County Clerk actually look into whatever location we put on the certificate ? Should I just list the resort we are staying at ? Or a random local park in the area ? We are most definitely eloping within the jurisdiction of the correct county, I am just very anxious about the license getting void after the fact.
