Hi! I applied to four MSW programs for the fall and didn’t get into any lol. Im in Los Angeles and applied to CSUs and UCLA. I prefer to attend local schools due to lower tuition and better internship support.

I graduated from undergrad 10 years ago in unrelated degrees and i just recently decided to pursue an msw. My professional experience is not related to social work.

I’m not super surprised I didn’t get in anywhere but I am a bit disappointed. I hope to apply again next year . To improve my resume I took an Intro to Stats class, and a peer support and community health worker certificate.

I recently got a job in social service field and plan to gain experience. I would love to work in affordable housing, with adults or older adults, etc. (I’m looking for a new job cuz my current one is not great. Any leads are appreciated)

Any advice to improve my chances next year? I plan to get more work experience but should I take any courses, or are there work tips? Thank you
