I made a package of creamy chicken instant ramen for my wife last night and she got pissed off and offended.
I followed the instructions. Boiled 2 cups of water in the microwave, slightly under the line for 2 cups (because I know she likes salty things). Added the noodles and flavor packet, set a timer for two and a half minutes so I could make sure to be able to stir and serve them at 3 minutes before they got too soggy.
She said it tasted like watery cardboard. It tasted normal to me. I hardly ever make instant ramen in the plastic pouches. I like the cups better because it comes with dehydrated vegetables and a convenient line to fill the water to.
"Did you even drain any of the water?!" She yelled.
"What? Why would I do that? I followed the instructions on the package."
"You act like you've never made instant ramen before!"
Are there unwritten customs to making instant ramen pouches that I was never told about, or was she just being unreasonable?
