Hey guys,
I’m losing my mind trying to do 100% accurate physical inventory audits. Because of active online sales coming in and different fulfillment statuses (unfulfilled, partially fulfilled, etc.), the Shopify numbers are always a moving target while I'm counting.
I used to export CSVs for our two locations and try to cross-reference them to find missing items, but it takes forever and human error always creeps in.
How do you guys actually handle this? Do you just bite the bullet and put the store on pause during an audit?
I got so fed up that I actually coded a small, budget-friendly app for my store just to compare two locations and instantly flag the missing items based on live fulfillment data. It works great for me, but I’m genuinely curious—is there a better native Shopify workflow or a simple trick I’m completely missing here?

Edit: Since a few people DM'd me asking about the custom app I mentioned, it’s called Swift Stock. You can check it out here: https://apps.shopify.com/inventory-11 . I built it to be super lightweight compared to the expensive options out there.
