When to start higher intensity training?
Hello!
I am wondering if anyone has any experience with when they introduced higher intensity training after getting their period back? For context, I first lost my period for about 8 months a few years ago, when I developed a severe eating disorder. I think lost it again last year after a relapse (hard to say exactly when, I was on birth control when I relapsed, and my the time I came off of it I no longer had my period anymore). I started recovery last winter and I have now had 3 consecutive periods, although they seem to very affected by any illness or stress I have. They are definitely not my “regular periods,” they tend to be significantly lighter, but I do notice a lot of the same pms symptoms that I experienced prior to losing my period. Over the last few months, I’ve been doing lower intensity group workouts about 2x per week, nothing crazy. I really miss working out (I was very active before my eating disorder) but I’m scared to start working out more because I don’t it to interfere with my cycle. Has anyone else has experience with this?
