Help me out

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to do a small DIY built-in project in my apartment kitchen/laundry area and I would love some advice because I’m a beginner.

I have an LG ventless dryer in this space and I want to place a compact refrigerator above it to create a built-in look. My idea is to add vertical white side panels and a shelf/platform between the dryer and the fridge so everything looks seamless and
matches the cabinets.

My biggest confusion is about the left side panel. Right now there is empty space between the upper cabinet and lower cabinet — there is no existing side board there.

I’m trying to understand:

- How would you attach that vertical panel securely?
- Would screwing it into the upper cabinet and lower cabinet be enough?
- Should I also anchor it into wall studs?
- What would be the easiest beginner-friendly way to support the shelf/platform for the mini fridge?

The fridge would be relatively small and the dryer is ventless.

I attached photos of the current space and an inspiration mockup of what I’m trying to achieve.

Thank you!
