lowkey i dont get why they calculate residual plot like there is no use. if the data was non linear from the residual plot then why would i draw a least squares regression line and not just a non linear regression graph like x^2 or logx or 1/x

In yr 11 rn, so far im tracking okay. i just did data analysis part 1 sac last week and im pretty confident about it. my first sac financial i got 98%. is this on track for 48 study score?
