I wanted to share as I was really worried about this and it might help someone else. I have always had a vagal (fainting/dizzy) reaction to needles. Not really a phobia as such, but my body has simply decided “needle? Time to dump your blood pressure and pass out”
I did my first jab today and after a few minutes of faffing, I just… jammed it in. And didn’t feel the needle at all. Only the pen resting on my skin. And didn’t have the awful tunnel vision/sweating/dizziness that nearly always comes when I have blood tests or vaccinations. I was lying on the bed so that might have helped.
Anyone else in the same situation- there’s a great chance you’ll be able to get through this no problem.
Here’s to the start of a journey.
