I recently had technical issues with both Counter-Strike 2 and a Rockstar Games title, and the difference in support between the two was very noticeable.
When I contacted Steam support regarding Counter-Strike 2, the responses felt very generic. They acknowledged the issue but didn’t provide any real solutions or deep troubleshooting. Instead, they suggested basic steps, asked for more information, and eventually closed the request without resolving the problem. It felt like they were unable to investigate individual cases properly, especially when no clear error code was present. Infact they said to me visit a computer tech wich make no sens cus i alredy explain them my computer is good its a hig end pc this started happening after the last updates, and they come in with the same answer, wich pised me off, and the worst they closed the ticked why there is pople like this working there im really confused if thise guys are called deweloper i bet i can do 100 milion times better job then them on my own i really hope this reaches to eyas of gabe i pray for that pls report everyone
On the other hand, Rockstar Support took a more structured and engaged approach. They asked for specific system files like DXDiag and MSInfo, which shows they were actually trying to diagnose the issue in detail. Their responses felt more personalized, and they provided step-by-step instructions aimed at identifying the root cause rather than just giving general advice.
In summary, Steam support for CS2 felt limited and somewhat dismissive when the issue couldn’t be easily reproduced, while Rockstar Support appeared more thorough and willing to dig deeper into the problem. This made a big difference in how supported I felt as a user.
Overall, Rockstar Support provided a more professional and hands-on experience compared to the more generic and less effective support from CS2/Steam.
