▲ 3 r/stroke

It’s been three days since my father suffered a stroke, he’s in the hospital recovering. My family and I spoke to a few doctors and they told us he would need to attend therapy and use a wheelchair once he’s discharged. My father is 5’1, 150lb, and in his 60s. They told us he’ll need to relearn most things but he’s able to communicate and somewhat use his hands, I don’t know much about wheelchairs but what type would be best for him? what brands or models do some of you use and would a “custom” be best? Not sure about ‘customs’ or what kind of wheelchair would be good for him and I really need help on this topic. Thank you, any advice is appreciated!
