Afaik, its a usual and important practice to place the newborn on the mother's chest to regulate their heartbeat through the resonation of the mother's heart. But with mothers who have POTS, is it advised to avoid this? I havent given birth yet but i suspect it would make my heart rate go crazy after all the adrenaline gets released. Should i tell the nurse that it may cause issues with the baby's heartbeat?
