complit major 20f, was good at math till covid hit, I WANT/WILL BE AN ASTROPHYSICIST. help pls?

Dear all-knowing redditors,

HAIII :3 I was incredible at math and chemistry and physics even though i wasnt being taught at school because science has been my main interest since i was able to read liikkeeee. thing is, i really lack the math and everything else required right now bc my health took a turn for the worse during covid and i missed a lot of my classes and i basically never recovered. but i want to. sigh.

also important note, I'm from turkey so i could probably solve sat math questions blindfolded cus our education system is incredibly hard compared to the US. but i dont specifically want to study in the us, though im open to the possibility my parents could support me doing that.

I feel like I didnt explain myself very well but long story short right now I'm studying in a completely different field, so I need to study a LOT to be able to even start studying astrophysics, but i genuinely dont know how to do that because its been years. Where does one even begin in a situation like this? My main focus is stars and doing research on them, but if i were to fail i wouldnt mind a job at a planeterium or as a middle school teacher like the main guy from project hail mary is lol. Im just really passionate about all of it and i cant imagine myself leading a life that doesnt orbit around stars (haha) and i promise to remember u all when i do start working for nasa :p

would love to hear any kind of advice on how to go about this plus love to hear from people who experienced the same change of career, how did it turn out? Do you regret your decision or is there hope for all of us?

thank u for reading,
love,

xya
