Some paper wasps (tree brown paper wasps judging by inaturalist) seem intend on making a home inside our walls via some weep holes.

If it wasn't in a high traffic area (literally along the walkway to the front door) and actively inside the brick wall is typically leave them be.

I've found metal protectors to place in the weep holes to prevent access (added bonus keeping other bests and bushfire embers out) but my question is how I can get rid of them first.

As much as it would be nice to move them along, I don't think relocating is an option, so I wanted to know if anyone had recommendations for a product that will kill off the best. Preferably something that isn't going to have a massive impact on everything in the rest of the garden.

We have previously had a pest treatment done and he got rid of them at the time but it seems after a couple of months they've decided to return.

Our house has a back patio where the roof of the house covers a concreted area. Problem is that the supports for the roof make the practical useable area much narrower than it is because they are set in a good way from the edge of the slab (I assume there's multiple structural reasons for this to do with the integrity of the slab and the roof). The slab is roughly 2750mm and the supports come in from the edge about 850mm.

What I want to know is, is it possible (and not outrageously expensive) to take away every second post and replace their support with sufficiently strong beams between the remaining ones. The current posts are appx 2130mm apart, so obviously doubling that (plus a bit more for the post width) makes for a substantial distance between posts which is great for making it a more usable space, but might not be so good for structural integrity.

If the work was to be done I would be hiring a professional, and I realise that what may be theoretically possible, may not apply to our house, but at this stage I just want to know if I'd be wasting my time even getting someone out for a quote.
