Hello! Maybe this is a straightforward question but I'm looking to you the experts:

Is installing a RHIS 180 rotated an exact 1:1 for a LHOS/LHRB ?

I asked for and ordered a LHOS, invoiced for LHOS, but I received a RHIS and my research indicates, simply, the geometry is wrong since it was built to be installed as a RHIS.

The best I can concisely differentiate from 180-RHIS versus true LHOS is:

LHOS / LHRB (Left-Hand Outswing)
Prehung built so the door closes out of the room (toward you).
From pull side: hinges left.
Hinge offset, latch bevel, and strike are set for outswing.

RHIS installed 180° (whole unit flipped)
Door will open toward you, but it’s still built as RHIS.
Hinge pivot is on the wrong side → hinges sit proud.
Latch/strike approach is reversed → doesn’t close cleanly.
Door edge bevel works against closing.

(AI assisted). I'm getting spun around a bit by the company that gave me the Invoice showing clearly LHOS that sent me a RHIS saying it 'doesn't matter'.

So reddit experts; does it matter? Thanks!
