Some more recently completed 17th century projects. A black wool coat with a striped linen/cotton blend liner, based on a Norwegian original. Worn over a very simple white unlined wool doublet, based on one found on the wreckage of the warship Vasa which sank in 1628. Both made in a vadmal wool (a type of homespun wool common in northern europe) and sewn with a mix of machine- and hand sewing, with only hand sewn stitches visible. The coat closes with fabric-covered wood core buttons, and the doublet with iron hooks and eyes. Worn with some accessories for a town militia-inspired impression.

I recently wore the outfit along with my previous creations (and armour) to a 1620s event at a local castle. I've posted some pictures from that as well as other projects on my instagram, https://www.instagram.com/livinghistorysweden/
