I am F 43 and have a history of very heavy periods, with large clots. In the past I have tried the birth control pill to no effect, and the copper IUD, also to no effect. Have tried all manner of diets and natural supplements, to no effect. I am also childfree by choice.

My question is, in New Zealand how easy is it to get a publicly funded hysterectomy? And has anyone had one because of heavy bleeding? I want to know positives and negatives.
