Hi,

I recently started a role (April 1st) and left a previous role to accept this one.

I stated on my first day, no issues and then on the same evening was admitted to hospital with a tooth abcess which then went to a full infection.

I advised this first thing in the morning to the agency and employer, sending proof as I know how these things can look, they said it’s fine and not to worry and can start again with the next batch of trainees, which worked out fine for me.

Fast forward until today, I’ve still not been back to work, not from my doing, they’ve told me that their contact was on holiday and they’d have an update this week ( didn’t come.)

So I’m just a bit stuck on what to do, do I put an official complaint in with their regulators or do I just request my p45 and move on.

It’s cost me probably over £2400 in lost wages, if they’d just been open and honest about the position when I had been unable to continue I’d of just looked for a new job, or tried to go to my old one.
