The Perfect Ramen (shot on Nikon ZR)

The Perfect Ramen (shot on Nikon ZR)

Camera: Nikon ZR

Lens: Sony 24-50 f2.8 w/Viltrox adapter, Nikon 40mm f2.

All shots are at base ISO 800. No noise reduction applied in post except in just one shot. Incredible low light performance here. I didn't even need the higher base ISO. Just wanted to share that all shortcomings/quirks of this camera disappear once you start working with it. What a pleasure!

POV: From a previously Sony shooter.

Constructive Feedback Needed

Hey folks,

TL;DR: Amateur "cinematographer" going for the very early morning sunrise look in a still dark kitchen room. Did I succeed? If not, how do I do it better?

SCENE: I tried to replicate the morning sunlight that's hitting the kitchen at an angle creating harsh shadows, but the room is overall still dark. Imagine dawn at 4:30am, sun has just risen but everyone is asleep.

QUESTION: Can you please constructively critique if I succeeded? And if not, what can I do better?

LIGHTING: This was shot at 11pm in the night. So I don't have ANY natural light to work with. The scene was created using a very minimal lighting setup - a 100W cob light with a fresnel and projection gobos, a small but powerful 25W light used as kitchen light, and the Smallrig rf10c flashlight.

CAMERA GEAR: Nikon ZR, Sony 24-50mm f2.8 lens with Viltrox adapter, Nikon 40mm f2. Top down shots with DJI Osmo Pocket 3.

Note: I am an outdoor shooter who mostly shoots with natural light, and am VERY new to using artificial lighting for videos. So kindly go easy. Haha.
