Hi everyone!

I'm currently preparing to apply for a DVM program, with my eye on USyd and UMelb in particular, and I'm trying to figure out the timeline as a North American applicant! I understand that the University of Melbourne does rolling admissions, while the University of Sydney has its deadline in September.

I was wondering if there is a significant benefit to applying to an earlier round with the University of Melbourne in terms of securing an offer (any offer in this application environment is a win), given that there are rolling admissions. I was also wondering when offers are given out for USyd, as the offers for earlier rounds to the UMelb expire really early too, and if I was so lucky to be competitve for both schools, it would be nice to be able to compare offers and have time to decide (not to get my hopes up though!)

If anyone has any advice on whether applying directly or through VMCAS might be better too, or any application advice in general, I would appreciate it!

Thank you ❤️
