- Did interview with company, interview was no more than 5 minutes. Asked a little about me, time I was available, ended call and hired me.

- training: went okay but mid training meeting, the person said “the company protects the company, you protect you.” Not sure what they meant by this but it caught me off guard and honestly gave me a weird vibe.

- after training ended, got contacted to start on a case tomorrow to shadow the tech that is going to be leaving. Shadow tomorrow and Friday, on my own Monday. This isn’t what is weird to me… wait for it…

- added to channel with tech, bcba, etc etc. Tech introduced themself. Bcba silent, hasn’t said anything. Still has not said anything/greated themself. Like, I go tomorrow and know nothing about the case whatsoever but tech said she would tell me?

- Is this odd? Every company that I have worked for, the BCBAs would schedule a teams virtual meet with me to go over client, any behaviors that I should be aware about, the client schedule, etc. That + hiring me without asking more information, what behaviors I have experience with etc, 5 minute interview, saying the part about “protected”, it just all gives me weird/sketchy vibes. Is this normal for some companies?

The company that I have been with for a little over half a year removed me from their platform today.

To be fair, I have been without a client for over a month because they don’t have one at the moment that fits my schedule (my previous client transitioned from in home to a clinic with a different company). I reached out to one of the BCBAs and she said I was removed today due to me being inactive/no current case.

All that aside, the platform that we use to communicate, where they provide training/round tables, the BCBA that conducts the training that I have been reaching out to because I have my rbt exam coming up and needed help with studying…. It’s ALL GONE. I have 0 access and 0 warning that I was being removed today.

I am a total wreck. I take my RBT exam in THREE WEEKS… I get that it may be their policy but this is brutal and feels like a knife to the chest.

Not for nothing, we had a specific channel where they would list town and times of open cases. I already had one of the people who worked there actively looking for me a case. How am I even suppose to know now if a case comes up that I can take?

This is crushing. I absolutely love my company and everyone there. They have been by far the best company that I have ever worked for. But this… I don’t know, it’s making me feel some sort of way that I was removed more so because my exam is coming up and I am now left without any support.

I did message HR but I’m not sure what they are going to do.

Do I even try now? What would you guys do? I am honestly contemplating on finding a new company after all of this. 😭😭😭

Just got offered a case and it’s in home, 35 hours a week. No other information regarding client, yet. The most I have ever done in home was 4 hours a day. What do you even do for 7 hours? I feel like that’s a lot and the child will get bored of me easily. Take it or run?
