Just bought some custom cables to neaten up my pc and realized that my setup actually needs more pcie cables than there are pcie slots on my psu. I need 3 pcie for my gpu, 1 for my cpu and a 6 pin for my fan hub (I'm using corsair's icue link which is powered by pcie).
My plan was to buy a 12v-2x6 to 3 8 pin cable adaptor, and have 4 pcie slots available for my cpu and fan hub. I've been doing some research on the safety of that kind of cable adaptor, but can't conclude if it's fully safe or not. For reference, my gpu usually pulls 350-405/410 watts at max load.
I'm not entirely sure what else to do aside from what I have now which is using 2 custom 8 pin cables and 1 standard psu daisy chain 8 pin cable plugged in to my gpu and the fan hub, which looks kind of rough.
Any advice would be helpful, thanks
