Seeing the movie in theaters with no spoilers or knowledge of the ending was one of the most if not the most emotional experience I've ever had in a movie theater. There were a lot of subtle details that I would later come to appreciate after having read the book and seeing the movie for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time however, the >!Adrian scene with Mary spinning out of control left me sobbing in the theater not knowing whether or not Rocky would survive.!< Had I read the book first, I wouldn't have had that experience and I'm so glad I chose to consume this amaze. amaze. amaze. story in this order. It's been a long time since I've changed my tune on my favorite movie of all time, but this did it!
Just wanted to share my thoughts!
