I’m having trouble getting my plants to root and grow. I’ve got a foxtail and a red tiger lotus that have survived, but everything else I add melts and dies. My tank parameters are in range and my fish are healthy, but I want to give them more hiding places. I’m using Premier and APT3.

Also, I see that my floaters are clogging into my filter. I’ve heard about sponge filters and have thought about reducing the flow (I have a 50-65 gallon filter in a 40 gallon). Is there a fuller option that isn’t a waterfall? One that won’t sink my floaters or inhale my plants?
