Device: Steam Deck

Identified the issue that's causing me lower performance after the core update.

When I disable sound and unlock FPS I can easily hit 120 FPS (for testing purposes, I play with original framerate) but if it's enabled FPS will hover around 40. This was NOT the case before the update, where I always had a rock solid 60 FPS (With Core CPU Overclocked).

Backed up the Core files but I can't go back since the latest RA version won't work with them.

This also appears to be a weird FPS cap issue instead of a pure performance issue, as increasing resolution/lowering the TDP has no affect on frame rate, it will stay the same. If performance was tanking FPS would be even lower.

Tested with Pac Man World 3.

"Error pulling from repo: GPG verification enabled, but no signatures found" when trying to downgrade a flatpak (RetroArch), was able to do it yesterday

I used the command

sudo flatpak update --commit=cc30925b13873efcc51bdbd35bd0f67f6393f304ec47f9f89fd44f7935e9c9b5

but receiving this error. Searched Google for hours, none of the advices worked, I tried all other commands like flatpak remote-delete --force flathub and such.

This worked perfectly last night, tried a clean OS install today and now it doesn't work.

Going to lose my mind, can someone help please? I need to downgrade because the new version has performance problems.

(There is a backup of all Cores+config files so if someone wants I will gladly share them)

Context:

After updating some Cores (Mednafen, LRPS2 and Dolphin) I had performance issues with a few games so I reverted to old versions. No problems then.

Recently updated the app from Discover Store and I'm unable to use the old Dolphin core anymore, it says "Failed to open libretro core" whenever I want to load a game. LRPS2 Core works fine though.

Yesterday I was able to revert to the oldest version available (dated 2026-02-07 19:08:56) after using the command

sudo flatpak update --commit=cc30925b13873efcc51bdbd35bd0f67f6393f304ec47f9f89fd44f7935e9c9b5

Tried a clean OS install today and now I can't get that version anymore either. I received this message:

"Error pulling from repo: GPG verification enabled, but no signatures found"

My backed up version that was made by using "create-usb" command does not work either, something went wrong with the back up process.

Can someone help please? I've been looking everywhere but no luck so far.

Using a Steam Deck.

RetroArch has some performance problems on later versions so I had to rollback. I realized you don't have access to all of the previous versions using this option so I'd like to save mine for the future.

I saved the contents of home/deck/.var/app/org.libretro.RetroArch but they didn't work with the current app version before downgrading. After that everything worked perfectly.
