What's the best wedding band for radiant cut engagement ring?

an someone explain what actually separates i3 from i1 or i2 in a way that makes sense to a regular person. I inherited a ring and was told the stone might be around diamond clarity i3 and I honestly don't know if I should be concerned or not. Does it affect how the stone holds up over time or is it purely about how it looks. The jeweler I spoke to kind of brushed me off so I'm just trying to understand what I actually have before I decide what to do with it.
