Bad neighbors

Most of my neighborhood is full of yards that have at least some (or a ton) of dandelions, and there are even a few houses scattered around that I can tell are going the native habitat way.

But somehow, the neighbors directly connected to my property on each side and in the back are all ones that spray a bunch of herbicides and pesticides and put out other poisons constantly.

What did I do to deserve such rotten luck with neighbors 😭

I've talked to them about what I'm doing on my property, and how we even are certified as a wildlife habitat. I've put signs out about feeding the bees, general native habitat stuff, "this yard is 100% organic," etc. The neighbor connected to the back of my back yard talks about how they love looking at our gardens and watching our birds, and even buys a small bag of bird seed sometimes as a gift, but just today the man of the house is out there spraying his entire back yard with some herbicide and there are 30-40mph wind gusts.

I'm honestly just so sick of lawn culture. I don't care anymore how "diplomatic" people on our side want to be. When they are actively poisoning my stuff, and they've been presented a lot of the facts and I've had the conversations with them about the water table, ecosystem, environment, cancer rates, etc etc etc and they still just keep doing it (even when it's illegal on a windy day), I have run out of patience.
