I'm getting ready to hit refresh and see the Steam store page break down.. no samples from Valve, I'm buying this thing with my own money if I can.

Anyone else picking it up today? Curious how people are feeling about it. PC Game Pass compatibility seems 'easily' solved with minor tweaks/tool installs, but I can understand the frustration around Xinput support (or the lack of)

If nothing else, I've used my Steam Deck almost every day, except for the times I've had Windows handhelds samples on loan like the ROG Ally and MSI Claw. Never had any issues with Valve's, so I'm expecting the Steam Controller to similarly last for years 🤔

Interesting take from Adam that I hadn't even considered, and I use Discord every single day. Something I'm not always particularly proud of, tbh.

Does it really feel like every major gaming platform has stepped back from its own social ecosystem and just handed the whole thing to Discord?

Xbox barely pushes its own social tools anymore, PlayStation's communities died years ago, and Steam's social layer is geared more towards guides or mods rather than genuine communication.

Did Discord win because it's genuinely better, or because the platform holders just gave up trying?
