When I originally watched the 90s Sailor Moon anime in 2022-2023, I didn‘t think much of it, especially when Crystal was nothing too special that doesn’t leave me much to say, but I tried watching the 90s anime series again in 2025, originally as a major holdover inbetween two of my favorite franchises on Mexican satellite television, PAW Patrol, and PJ Masks, because I had no interest in watching Spidey and his "Amazing" Friends and Iron Man and his "Awesome" Friends, this time, it was very different, they were at the start on Sailor Moon S, but it was a bit difficult for me due to the language barrier because I was watching the show in the Mexican Spanish dub, so I decided to watch those episodes through the ViZ English dub…and it immediately clicked with me, and as I watched more and more, I could not put down Sailor Moon, I quickly fell in love with not only the main characters, but to see where it’s going, where the story goes, where the franchise goes, I wanted more Sailor Moon, it easily won me over, and I watched those same episodes again in the Mexican dub, and I also could not put it down, what also helped is that Disney Jr. Latin America stopped rerunning PJ Masks Power Heroes and my time with PJ Masks has been less and less, so now, Sailor Moon went from as the title says, a holdover series to a franchise I’m deeply invested in, now I watch Sailor Moon side by side with the PAW Patrol franchise and I bought a lot of stuff from the Sailor Moon franchise, Blu-rays of the 90s series, a lot of the merchandise, and even a reproduction cartridge of Sailor Moon: Another Story on the Super Nintendo, I’m a huge Sailor Moon fan.
