Aside from harmless glitches sometimes, the touchscreen in my 2018 had been fine until a few days ago. I'm considering the Kinetic Vehicles replacement part, but I also thought it might be an opportunity to upgrade. The main improvement would be Wireless Android Auto/CarPlay. I know it can be laggy and is brutal for battery life, but I've used it in rental cars before and I really like the convenience of it.
Has anyone else gotten an aftermarket unit instead of a replacement? Are there any settings/features that are lost even with iDatalink? It seems like it's pretty comprehensive, but because the features vary per vehicle, it's not clear what is supported in the Outback, so I'm anxious to hear your experiences.
