I am in the midst of creating new SOP, policy, and procedure for my small L&D department. I was asked to look into "Course ID standards and governance" as part of our SOP doc but I am not finding much about it online. I.e., best practices for how to give new courses their IDs. Would anyone have any insight? How do you choose your course IDs where you work? Are the course IDs themselves ever audited?
