Was craving my usual Sunday scene—chole bhature (Sharma in East Delhi / Nagpal / Lotan / even Delhi Gate bread pakora types)—but a friend who lived in Bangalore dragged me to this place for “authentic nostalgia”.
Reached at 6:20 AM… and surprisingly, people were already there. I was technically first in line, but by 6:45 it was a full rush outside. They send people in batches once it opens, so you’re basically standing there half sleepy but also weirdly excited.
And yeah… worth it.
I’ve never been a huge South Indian breakfast person, but this changed things a bit.
Idli: 10/10. Soft, fresh, and that podi hit just right.
Garlic dosa: MUST HAVE. Crisp, flavourful, not greasy at all.
Chutneys: actually taste fresh (rare W), red one had a proper kick.
Filter coffee: solid 8/10, nice and frothy.
Filter iced latte: kinda mid tbh, 4/10.
Didn’t expect this to compete with my usual chole bhature Sundays, but here we are. Might have to rotate this into the lineup now.
