​Hello Friends,

​I wanted to share a piece with a great backstory. This Daytona was a gift to my son from his former boss, who picked it up during a trip to China many years ago.

​My son left it tucked away in a drawer before moving out to California. I recently rediscovered it, gave it a thorough cleaning, and fixed up the bracelet. To my surprise, it’s running perfectly! The red chronograph hand has a beautiful, smooth sweep.

​I’ve been doing some research and it looks very similar to the white gold 116509 Racing Dial. Since this is an older piece from a trip abroad, I’d love to get the community's expert eyes on it:

​Dial: Black with silver sub-dials and red "Daytona" text/hands.

​Indices: Arabic numerals (Racing style).

​Bezel: Stainless steel with Tachymeter scale.

​Any experts here familiar with these older versions? I’m curious how well it captures the spirit of the 116509 from that era.
