We recently adopted a husky (who we thought was a mix at first) from the shelter but have no idea what kind she is. We found out from a friend who is family of the original owner that she is purebred and AKC registered. I don’t have the papers yet unfortunately and tried searching for her in the AKC database using her original name but nothing, the way their search engine works makes it difficult to go back and forth between links because it doesn’t allow you to open in a new tab or show up a different color after you’ve clicked the link to show as “visited”.
Her breeder was from North Carolina and she was born early January 2025 if the adoption papers are correct. The adoption papers also say Siberian Husky but the spay papers say Alaskan Husky. I’ve never seen a husky with such long fur like hers (it literally looks like human hair laying around the house sometimes), it reminds me of an American Eskimo. Any clues?
Otherwise, she’s great. 😂 She’s an absolute menace but a goofball that we love. 🖤
