Absolutely brand new to oil as of yesterday, I've had some time off work for dental work so I've been hammering away at whatever I can manage.
i have a minor background in acrylic and I feel like im doing okay but my shapes/structure/anatomy/etc are just not at the level I'd like them to be. I also feel like I just have very little idea what I'm doing in the first place.
Second image is a WIP (major unfinished hands, etc) that I did as my first piece, then did the papaya (first image/i know its floating, bare with me) and finally the portrait, which I feel has my best shading (?) but the worst anatomy 😭 I know that doing more sketching will help with the shapes issue but it's a slow process ig.
Critique welcome if anyone has any advice or comments 🙏🏽 just feeling a bit lost and not sure I'm doing this right. I hope ya'lls days or nights are treating you well. <3
