*photos are not mine!
Hi, I don't post to reddit often, but I am looking for advice.
Recently got this exact model of projector (deluxe realist 420 model 3151). I am trying to repair it but I realized I am missing the slider carriage that holds onto the 35mm slides on the right side of the machine.
I don't have a 35mm photo (yet) to test, however I wonder if there is a possible work-around to this missing piece. I haven't found anything like it online, so I am not sure if I'll been able to find it.
I am new to vintage projectors, I have never used one before.
I am currently trying to fix the push button on mine because it came apart inside of the projector. Besides that, when I connect metal wires, light works and fan blows. There is also still the slide changer control bar on the left side, that piece wasn't lost.
I was planning to bring it to a parts store since pieces of the inner spring/latch button is missing, but I am wondering if it's worth the bother if I am not going to be able to project photos without the slide holder?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
