My tegu isn’t eating :(
I’ve had my tegu from Christmas, and he’s been such a picky eater he ends up going days without eating.
He’s around 4-6 months old and whilst not eating the food I put into the enclosure I do catch him chewing/trying to eat the side of his food bowl but never the food inside, so it’s clear he wants to eat, at first I thought it was the bowl but after changing it he still didn’t take anything from it.
I’ve tried him with chicken, turkey, salmon, beef, pork, pineapple, mangos- all sorts, he won’t even eat eggs.
He’ll sometimes take tiny mice, but he’s recently started to stop them too, it’s just really stressful and I’m here reaching out to ask for tips on what to do 🙏
I’m not asking for like him to be diagnosed with something but I’m just wondering if it’s normal/is there anything I can change ?
