Currently a senior graduating this fall, planning to find an apartment and go full time after. Doing an internship over the summer so I'll have some income to start covering things myself.

I am currently an authorized user on my mom's card which I use for groceries and gas. I have a card in my own name but Capital One has the credit line locked at $400 and refuses to increase it.

  • Current cards:
    • Amex BCP $25,000 limit, Nov 2020 (Authorized user)
    • Quicksilver One $400 limit, Sept 2020
  • FICO Score: 800
  • Oldest account age: 5 years 8 months
  • Chase 5/24 status: 0/24
  • Income: No income currently, internship starting May
  • Average monthly spend and categories:
    • groceries: $400
    • gas: $180
    • other: $100
  • Open to Business Cards: No
  • What's the purpose of your next card? Cashback
  • Do you have any cards you've been looking at? Amex BCP, Citi Custom Cash, Wells Fargo Active Cash
  • Are you OK with category spending or do you want a general spending card? Category is fine.
